Hotel rooms are weird. Don't get me wrong, I love staying in hotels, but they're weird and have a weird effect on me. I'm thinking it's because they're like blobs, nobody really owns a hotel room, they're made for everyone and no-one at the same time, they're supposed to be impersonal but I always feel so ... and don't want to leave. I like being in a blob.

I usually sleep a lot more than usual in hotel beds and they don't even have to that comfortable, I just sleep a lot more than usual. It takes me like 5 minutes to make it look like my own place, I just put my stuff where it feels right, move a couple of things and voilá, it's like my very own private blob.

I didn't really have to come to a hotel, I just had some 'reward nights' from all the traveling I did last year and thought it would be nice to use it before they expired, plus, I like the solitude, the 'nobody cares who you are' feel of it all. And the breakfast buffet (even though I usually don't make it in time - see 'sleep more than usual' above).

Anyway, yeah I'm at a hotel for a couple of days, until I can move into my new place - it's complicated, don't ask, I don't want to have to explain - it's weird, makes me act weird, but I like it.
